How much lower does a stretch ceiling come?
A stretch ceiling sinks at least 12mm, but usually 3 to 7cm is lowered because of the installation of lighting. Such as spots, LED lines, chandeliers, etc
What is the price of a stretch ceiling?
A stretch ceiling costs on average 75 to 80 €/m2, the price of your stretch ceiling depends on the size of your room as well as the degree of difficulty.
Can a stretch ceiling tear?
A stretch ceiling cannot tear without making a cut in it with a sharp object. Stretch ceilings are very strong and robust and cannot tear on their own.
Can a stretch ceiling be outside?
Yes, our STRETCH stretch ceilings can be installed outdoors. Although you do have to opt for our outdoor ceilings, it is not the case that our standard stretch ceilings can be mounted outside.
What are the disadvantages of a stretch ceiling?
There are virtually no drawbacks associated with a stretch ceiling, the only drawback that could be is that we recommend having your ceiling mounted by a STRETCH dealer and therefore less recommending installing the stretch ceiling yourself.
How do you clean a stretch ceiling?
Our STRETCH stretch ceilings can be cleaned by means of our stretch ceiling cleaner, which is specially designed to clean your stretch ceiling.
Can you paint a stretch ceiling?
You can, but we don’t recommend this. This is because you lose all your advantages of a stretch ceiling such as washability, maintenance-free, ….
How long does a stretch ceiling last?
The lifespan of a stretch ceiling is around 25 years, after 25 years the stretch ceiling will not be unusable or broken. But the ceiling will most probably need a thorough cleaning, but usually the ceiling will be renewed by stretching a new stretch ceiling in the existing construction that will have been mounted again.
